Short Bio

Born in Málaga, formed as a pianist, violinist, orchestral conductor and composer in Málaga, Barcelona, and Munich.

​

Great success composer, first performs 'Shadow', Op.16 in Enschede (The Nederlands) with Twents Kamer Orkest, conducting Lex Oosthoek.

​

In 1997 wins the International Composition Prize 'Reina Sofia' of Spain with his work 'Klavierkonzert', Op.17. This was first performed in Madrid by Orquesta de Radio y Televisión Española (OSRTVE), Manuel Galduf conducting, and Maria Luisa Cantos playing the extremely difficult soloist piano part. The Queen Sofia of Spain gave him the renown prize in person.

Martin-Jaime has been awarded with other prices as Premio a la Labor Musical by Malaga's Council.

​

His works, mostly orchestral, have been performed all around the world in cities such as Madrid, Málaga, Santander, Barcelona, Girona, Cádiz, Seville (Spain), Paris (France), Vienna (Austria), Munich (Germany), Zürich, Baden (Switzerland), Ljubliana (Slovenia), Enschede (Nederlands), London (UK), Budapest (Hungary), Moscow (Russia), etc.

Has worked with different orchestras as Orquesta Sinfónica de Málaga, Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga, Orquesta de Cámara Ciudad de Málaga, Orquesta del Conservatorio Superior de Música de Málaga, Orquesta Promúsica, Orquesta Ciudad de Melilla, Andalusian Contemporary Ensemble, Orquesta Nacional de Andalucía, Orquesta de Atarfe, Orquesta del Gran Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona, Ensemble ACC, Orquesta de Radio y Televisión Española (ORSTVE), Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla (ROSS), Orquesta Eduard Toldrá, Hugarian Virtuosi, Twents Kamer Orkest, Tchaikosky Orchestra (Moscow), etc.

As a conductor, Martin Jaime founded the Orquesta Clásica de Málaga, was title conductor of the Camerata de Ópera and recently has founded and conducts the Ensemble de Música Antigua,

Martin-Jaime is a composer, orchestral conductor, plays the piano, cembalo, organ, violin, is an air transport pilot with near 2000 flight hours and flight instructor.

​

Has written several articles and books on aerial navigation, meteorology, fencing, music theory and practice, and philosophy. His last book, 'An Introduction to Phænomenology of Music', has been n.1 at the top selling books list of music in Amazon for two weeks.

​

Martin-Jaime is professor of conducting at Conservatorio Superior de Música de Málaga (Spain), and is working at the day in the composition of an opera, for season 23-24.
